Lady Titans Pull Away From Franklin County

The Cosby Lady Titans, leading by 1 at the half pulled away in the 2nd 40 minute period to win 5 – 0 over the Franklin County Eagles on Saturday. In the process they booked their 3rd straight shutout of the young season. Freshman goalie Brooke Banazak was quick to credit others for the defensive success, “A shutout feels great but our backline works so hard.”
Telling his team to “let the ball do the work”, Coach Sean Pratt’s players scored 3 goals in the middle of the 2nd period to put the game away. Another freshman, Lexa Ramthun led all scorers with 2 goals. Abby Fulop, Brittany Borchardt and Beca Shelek, who got the game winner in the 1st half, also scored for the Titans. Asked about her exuberance after scoring Ramthun said, “Personally, I like scoring”, adding, “I like to do something a little special after I score.”
The Titan’s next game is Monday versus L.C. Bird
